Healthy Body, Healthy Workplace (Daily Om)

Your work duties may be overtaxing you physically, which could make you feel tired and frustrated. Putting all of your energy into your workplace without replenishing it may take its toll not only on your physical health but on your emotional and spiritual well-being as well. Creating a schedule for eating well, relaxing, and exercising might help you complete your tasks while at the same time reenergize you. Before going to work, you can stock up on healthy foodsand snacks to take with you in order to nourish your body. Setting specific breaks throughout the day to take a walk outside, stretch, and breathe in deeply while telling yourself to relax might calm your mind enough to support you emotionally and mentally. You may find that taking care of these aspects of your self not only gives you additional energy but also puts you in a more positive frame of mind.
Incorporating simple healing practices into our day gives us the strength to manage our workplace environment. At work our responsibilities may be such that we are not able to ignore them. Yet when we work too hard without any breaks or wholesome nourishment, our work suffers and we become exhausted, cross, and lose our ability to concentrate. Even something as easy as eating well, however, will do a lot toward giving you the energy you need. When you take care of your body today, your body will work hard at taking care of the rest of your being.
